Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth

« previous next »

Gyllyngvase Beach is a typical family resort beach set on Cornwall's south coast and warmed by the waters of the Gulf Stream. It is a long, deep, sandy stretch of coast that attracts both visitors and residents year round. Set just off the main link road that leads to the Castle headland, the beach, with its raised promenade, offers magnificent views across the bay.

The beach and immediate surroundings offer excellent facilities for all the family, including disabled visitors. Why not hire a deck chair and sit back and relax, watching the more energetic play volleyball and tennis? If you fancy a stroll, visit Queen Mary Gardens, which adjoin the beach and the South West Coast Path. The attractive town of Falmouth with its many facilities and attractions, including the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle, is just minutes away.
