Kat Kennedy's Single Makes Top 40
Kat Kennedy is a 25 year old singer/songwriter from Cornwall - one of the most beautiful, inspirational places to write.
Kat started writing around 2 years ago, in which time she had been signed to an independent label, but they soon parted company due to the fact they were unable to fund her career development. Kat then hit the road alone, continuing to write and record in the studio funding her own career development.
After many set backs due to health reasons, Kat has finally put together her Debut Album titled Butterfly, working with the likes of Producer Gary Williams (who has worked with Gary Numan, No Premonition who have supported Westlife and Lucie Silvas.) Producer Danny Kirsch ( who has worked with the likes of Charlotte Church, Jurgen Vries and many others) The Album consists of Collaborations with UK Singer/Songwriter Sam Mackenzie and US Producer/Rapper Mase.
Most of the songs are written by Kat alone, although there is one cover, a collaboration and a song written especially for her by Danny Kirsch.
Butterfly will be due for release late 2008 or early 2009. Currently though Kat is releasing her debut single titled "Cheese & Trees" ( taken from Kats up coming Album Butterfly) late summer, but its currently available on here to listen to. To be released along side of the single, Kat is shot her debut music Video for "Cheese & Trees" on Saturday 9th August 2008, with film company Icarus Films. The video has recently been screened across Europe on MTV
Myspace will be the first to see the video. So keep your eyes peeled for the releases.
