St Agnes

With the demise of mining, St.Agnes  has become a popular tourist destination, offering excellent beaches at Trevaunance Cove and Chapel Porth beach, and nearby Perranporth and Porthtowan.

It is also the home of Atlantic FM, which broadcasts across the whole of Cornwall from their studios at the "Wheal Kitty Workshops

It is one of the twelve sections of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

For many years St.Agnes was home to the annual Surfers against Sewage (SAS) ball, which attracted thousands of Surfers from around Europe. The last one was in 2006.

This year will however see St.Agnes play host to 'Surfstock' on August 29 – 30th, which is expected to be attended by up to 6,000 revellers, as well as some of the finest music acts around.
