Wadebridge

Wadebridge is located on the Camel Estuary, about 5 miles upstream from Padstow.

 

The main shopping street in Wadebridge (Molesworth Street) has subsequently become pedestrianised through an inner link road, allowing traffic free shopping.

 

The town is famous for its Royal Agricultural Show held in June each year.

 

There is a very popular cycle path from Wadebridge to Padstow along the length of a disused railway track known as the Camel trail and bikes can be hired at either end.

 

Sailing on the Camel Estuary

 

The Camel estuary offers a wide range of water sports, including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, sailing and kite surfing. Golf courses close by include Trevose, St.Enodoc and St Kew.

 

Wadebridge has a  leisure centre which has a varied programme of sports a leisure pursuits including Cornish wrestling.
